Sunset October Family Session | Melton Family | Texas Lifestyle and Wedding Photography

I love sunsets.  The way the sun hangs in the sky just creates such a perfect golden light.  It  really warms images up, and it makes everything just a little more comfy.  Taking pictures at sunset is one of my most favorite things.  Now, taking pictures at sunset AND taking pictures of the Melton family?  Well, that’s what I call a good evening!

Rance and Felicia have been a couple since high school.  They are several years older than me, but I always remember them being together.  Seeing them now, with two adorable children, is pretty amazing.  I love when couples meet young and get to spend their lives together.  There’s something romantic and just almost magical about that.

Brandt was a ball of energy and it made this session SO much fun!  Like any normal toddler, he didn’t want to take pictures, and that’s totally fine.  I don’t blame him.  Especially when there’s leaves and sticks and room to run.   Thankfully, we were able to calm long enough to get some really great images!

I am really happy with the way these pictures turned out!  Felicia did an awesome job of choosing their outfits and colors.  It really makes them pop against the green background.  Check out some of my favorites from the session below!
