Kassidy, Brookes, and Jax | Mother and Son Session | Texas Lifestyle and Wedding Photography

The rain had finally stopped long enough for us to get this session in, and I was incredibly thankful because it turned to be one of my favorites!  No session is complete without laughs, love, fussy toddlers, and muddy puddles.  This mother son session was one for the books!

 

I’ve known Kassidy for YEARS.  Like I can remember talking to her the most when I went to church camp with my husband in high school.  Back then she was in Junior High, but she was always the more mature girl.  Taking these pictures made me feel incredibly old.  I still remember when she was pregnant with Jax, and now he’s this handsome, tall, outgoing, funny little boy.  Where did the time go?

 

I loved everything about this session.  The sky was a little overcast (which is actually kind of my favorite), and the ground was just soft enough to hold a few muddy puddles.  Brookes was not a huge fan of pictures so we actually ended letting him play in mud.  #pickyourbattles

 

Jax is an amazing big brother.  He did everything he could to make his little brother happy, and it warmed my heart.  He was a trooper and did everything I asked him to do.  I seriously couldn’t be more proud of his parents for raising such a sweet and respectful kid.
